Pixilated

My man loved the raw edge circle baby quilt so much, it inspired me to make a full sized on for our bed. My first full size quilt. I made it in four pieces and sewed them together. Remember, I am new at this quilting stuff, but I am learning a great deal as I go along. It's really fun!

Scrappy Spool Quilt

I saw this spool quilt on Whipup.net and had to try it. It seems that every quilt I make is my new favorite.

Raw Edge Circle Quilt

I made this Crib Quilt from scraps I bought on Etsy, some Charm Squares, and some gifted fabrics, Isn't it wonderful? I haven't sewn much since making the move across country, to North Carolina from California!

What happens when OCD meets Crafting

While I have been working on another Swing Skirt (hillofthehawk on Ravelry) this time in linen/merino blend, my attention has been turning to little quilts. Just the right size for a baby or crib. The blue one is made from cashmere sweaters I have cut up. It is so soft it's amazing.
The other two are made from charm packs, in a lost 9 patch. It's fun to see the different patterns which emerge. The top one is still a work in progress, hence the unfinished edges. I'm thinking of putting them all up for sale in my etsy store.

Another quilt

I have been enjoying a few days at home sewing more baby quilts. This one is made from  a Moda "Water Garden" honeybun with linen  for the white squares. I used a wonderful cotton lawn print for the back with a wool flannel  for the batting. It looks wonderful and the drape is nice. It should be very cozy with the wool batting for someone's bundle of joy.

Baby Shower Gift

I made this in a couple of days using pre-cut quilting strips. Very fun with almost instant gratification.

Linen Pantalets

I've started sewing pantalets, or bloomers ,at the request of some friends. They are so cute and comfy. I wear them as jammies, lounge pants, and under my sheer knitted skirts. What do you think of them?
